English quintet Swindled are growing rapidly after forming in February of 2023. Sunderland’s five piece have put their mark on the music scene immediately by selling out gigs with flair and showmanship that you don’t always see especially in the North East of England.

After school friends Will Swindle (Guitar, Vocals) and Felix Walls (Drums, Vocals) decided to try out Will’s brother Jonny Swindle (Vocals) as the frontman of their first originals band The Swindlers, it didn’t take long for Jonny to change the name and for the band to incorporate Alex Winn (Guitar, Vocals) and Thomas Hall (Bass) to round out their lineup.

Starting out as fans of bands like the Sex Pistols the idea behind the band was fast indie rock. However as the band grew the music grew with them. With Jonny’s lyrics becoming more intricate and Will’s compositions diving into the art pop world, the band found their unique style and sound with no song sounding like the one another.

The jump in musicality from their debut EP Counting Sheep (2023) to their most recent EP What A Nightmare! (2025) is just a taste of where the band could go in the future, as they grow as people and as a group.

The recent EP What A Nightmare (2025) has already had people talking with the the second single Cosmic Immigrants receiving thoughts such as “Swindled take a bold step into uncharted territory, reaffirming their place as one of the UK’s most exciting new bands to watch.” ~ Hits Radio
