Raised in North East England, far from the UK’s traditional cultural hubs, Floyd grew up surrounded by music. His parents met during the late-80s acid house movement, and that eclectic spirit shaped his musical upbringing. By his mid-teens he was already writing songs for a local indie band, quickly building momentum on the live circuit.
